| Sportsmetrics Jump Training and Speed & Agility Program |
Each year, one in 100 female high school athletes will be sidelined by a serious knee injury. Many of these injuries occur in a non-contact way such as pivoting, cutting or jumping in sports like soccer, basketball and volleyball. The Alegent Health Sports Medicine Program has started combating this issue by offering Sportsmetrics Training Programs throughout the year. Alegent Health Sports Medicine has seven Certified Sportsmetrics Instructors that have worked with over 300 Omaha-Metro athletes in the past two years. To find out more information regarding Alegent Health Sports Medicine and the Sportsmetrics Program, view the website: www.alegent.com/sportsmedicine, or contact Ashley Rasmussen, Sports Medicine Coordinator, at ashley.rasmussen@alegent.org
