The Omaha Crusaders was founding in 1993 by Doug Woodard and Scott Hawk to provide high school basketball athletes another avenue of competitive improvement and exposure. Initially the Crusaders had boys teams only but in 1998 a girls program was added. Some historical highlights are as follows:
Boys: *1994 AAU 16U National Semi-Finalist in Baton Rouge, La. *1995 Las Vegas Grand Finale Finalist- Defeated Antoine Walker's Chicago Hoops Express in semi-finals *1997 Champion Atlanta Classic - Defeated National power Atlanta Celtics *1997 Champion Mr. BB Invite defeating Louisiana Crusaders *2001 Champion Mr. BB Invite defeating Martin Bros. Select *2001 Champion Dakota Classic defeating Dakota Schoolers *2003 Champion Mister BB Invite defeating Randolph Boys Club, Wi. *2004 Champion Dakota Classic defeating Minnesota Glory Girls: *2001: Champion Dakota Classic defeating Minnesota Quest *2001: Champion Miss Basketball Showcase defeating Sioux Falls Riders *2005: Champion Adidas Showtime Nationals, Atlanta defeating Houston Select *2006: Champion Deep South Classic, Raleigh, N.C. defeating Michigan Monarchs *2007: Champion BCI 18U Nationals defeating Dallas Roadrunners
